Each of our patients needing a follow up examination is examined according to their age and individual needs.
We recommend people under 19 and over 65 years of age to have a yearly eye examination. People between 19 and 65 years
of age should have an eye exam at least once every two years.
Our optometrists offer pre and post operative evaluations for people who have had corrective refractive eye surgery.
We also offer our patients with follow up examinations for post cataracts surgeries and the monitoring of eye conditions
being treated.Some of our patients requiring a follow up evaluation include patients who have had cataract surgery,
patients being treated for glaucoma, macular degeneration, Diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy, dry eye syndrome
(determined by the severity and complications), and numerous other retinal and ocular pathological conditions.
Some patients suffering of acute problems such as reoccurring conjunctivitis, irititis, blepharitis , episcleritis,
chalazion, trichiasis and hordeolum among others may require follow up examinations depending on the severity.
It is important to note that diabetics should have a yearly examination by an optometrist in order to monitor for diabetic retinopathy.
